DAY 1
Our first working day started early in the morning at College Pierre et Marie Curie.

Italy: Giuseppina Pavia and Domenica Giuseppa De Giorgi
Romania: Marius Panait, Oana Virlan and Sorin Totolici
Portugal: Albertina de Sousa and Teresa Biu.
First, we started a guided welcome visit with the Principal, Monsieur Christophe
Dussargues and French coordinator teacher Bénédicte Tisseyre-Bopp.

The visit started in the school canteen and from there, we visited the rest of school:
the Science room, Art room, ICT room, the Gym, where students were having classes,
the Music room and the Staff room.
We had opportunity to ask questions about the French school system in general
and how does school management look at College Pierre et Marie Curie.

One of our tasks during the meeting was to choose a logo for our project.
In a voting, we've chosen the following logo:

It portrays Magellan, the five flags, the European flag, the Large Magellanic Cloud
and the Eight Wind Compass Rose with the Earth in its center as well as the name
of the project ’To Horizon and Beyond’. It also shows a dragon which symbolizes

DAY 2
The next day, we had another working session with the division of responsibilities,
treading a French report and discussing the creation of diaries during LTTs.

In the evening the teachers had a lovely reception at City Hall for all the members
of the five countries.
Our hosts were members of Conseil Municipal and le Maire, Monsieur Pierre Destrem.
They all welcomed us warmly and wished us success with the program.
They also thanked the French Collège for participating in European projects.
On the third day we met journalist from the local newspaper ‘La Semaine
du Minervois’, who in the future will help students with techniques of diary writing.

After that meeting, I hope that everyone have had the same good feeling that it will
be a pleasure to work together :)
